CASE STUDY
DESIGN BRIEF
Helen Tansey is one of North America’s leading portrait and corporate photographers, whose celebrated portfolio includes iconic headshots of prominent actors, high-profile executives, and international celebrities (such as Gordon Ramsay and Colin Mochrie).
Main Objective: Design a cohesive brand identity and environmental graphic system for Helen Tansey Photography. The scope includes storefront window graphics, sidewalk A-frame marketing displays, editorial print collateral, and digital portfolio design engineered to communicate creative authority and high-end studio positioning.

To match the caliber of Helen Tansey’s high-profile portraiture, Boathaus Studio developed a refined, editorial brand identity that lets her photographic work take center stage.
The visual identity pairs sharp, modern serif typography with a dramatic, high-contrast monochrome and deep magenta color system. By translating her prestige headshot portfolio into physical storefront glass treatments, sidewalk signage displays, tactile foil-stamped stationery, and an immersive dark-mode web showcase, the design system establishes a unified multi-touchpoint experience that reflects the creative authority of a premier North American photography studio.
